How to use
- Paste your text, Markdown or HTML and press Build outline, or switch to From a topic, download the model and enter the topic, audience and format.
- Edit the outline: reorder, indent, outdent, add or remove items with the buttons or keyboard shortcuts, within the depth limit.
- Copy or download it as Markdown, OPML (for outliners and mind-map apps) or plain text.
Worked example
The sample Markdown (a title, three sections, a list with one nested item and three paragraphs) becomes a 10-item outline within 3 levels; the nested list item is added when the depth limit is 4.

Limitations
- Outlines from a topic are starting points from a small model: they can be generic or repetitive, and facts it suggests must be checked.
- Without WebGPU the model writes slowly; Stop keeps what it has written so far.
- From my text finds structure from headings, numbering, lists and paragraphs; text without any of these gives a flat list of first sentences.

Is the topic outline written by AI?
Yes, by SmolLM2-360M-Instruct (Apache-2.0), downloaded once from Hugging Face (about 390 MB, or 276 MB with WebGPU) and run in your browser. Treat it as a starting point: it can be generic or repetitive, and any facts it suggests must be checked.
What if my text has no headings?
From my text uses headings, numbering, lists and paragraphs. Text without any of these gives a flat list of first sentences, which you can then indent and reorder.
Where can I use the OPML file?
OPML 2.0 is an outline format that many outliner and mind-map apps can import. Markdown and plain text are also available to copy or download.
Privacy
On-device model. Processing runs in this browser. The open-source model files are downloaded once from the model host (Hugging Face) and cached; your content is not uploaded.
