How to use

  1. Add audio files.
  2. Choose format, bitrate, sample rate and channels.
  3. Convert and download individually or as a ZIP.

Worked example

A 3:30 WAV (44.1 kHz stereo, about 37 MB) converts to a 192 kb/s MP3 of about 5 MB.

Supported formats and limits

InputMP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, Ogg/Opus/Vorbis, FLAC, WebM, Video files (audio track)
OutputMP3, WAV, M4A (AAC), Ogg Opus, FLAC
LimitsUp to 1 GB per file; 100 files per batch.
EngineMediabunny (WebCodecs) with MP3 and FLAC encoder extensions

Limitations

  • Converting lossy to lossy (MP3 → AAC) loses a little more quality each time.

Questions

How big will an MP3 be?

Bitrate × duration ÷ 8. A 3:30 track at 192 kb/s is about 5 MB; the same track as 16-bit 44.1 kHz stereo WAV is about 37 MB.

Does converting MP3 to WAV or FLAC improve quality?

No. Lossless formats keep exactly what was decoded, but they cannot restore detail an MP3 or AAC file already discarded.
