Questions
How do page ranges work?
Each comma-separated range becomes its own PDF, and end means the last page. On a 12-page PDF, 1-3, 4-10, 11-end gives three files with 3, 7 and 2 pages. You can also put all selected pages into one PDF to extract them.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
No. The page content is copied, but bookmarks (the outline) and interactive form fields are not carried over into merged or split files.
Why does a split by size give fewer pages per file than expected?
Fonts shared between pages are repeated in every part, so each part carries some extra weight.
