Questions
How does the 50/30/20 comparison work?
Needs, wants and savings are each shown as a share of total income next to the guideline of 50%, 30% and 20%. $4,000 income with $2,100 needs, $1,100 wants and $800 savings is a 52.5/27.5/20 split. The guideline is a rule of thumb, not advice for your situation.
How are annual amounts handled?
Each line can be monthly or annual. Totals are summed as exact annual cents (monthly × 12) and divided by 12 for the monthly view, rounding half-up to the cent only at the end.
Where is my budget stored?
In this browser's storage only. Export a CSV for a spreadsheet, or a JSON file you can import again on another device.
