How to use
- Add receipt photos or PDFs, choose the date order (day or month first) and rotate if needed.
- Review each extracted field next to the receipt; low-confidence fields and totals that do not add up are marked Check.
- Edit fields and line items, then export all receipts as CSV, JSON or XLSX.
Worked example
A grocery receipt with 6 items, subtotal 23.40, tax 1.87 and total 25.27 passes the check subtotal + tax = total.

Limitations
- Crumpled, faded or very thin print reduces accuracy; handwritten receipts are not supported.
- Recognition data is English only; other languages may read with errors.
- Unusual layouts can put an amount in the wrong field. Always check totals before using them for accounting.
Questions
Does this use an AI model?
No. Text is read with tesseract.js OCR (English), loaded from this site (about 7 MB), and a rule-based parser finds amounts, dates, currency and the merchant. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is downloaded from a model host.
How do I know the numbers are right?
The parser cross-checks totals, for example subtotal 23.40 plus tax 1.87 equals total 25.27, and marks low-confidence fields and totals that do not add up as Check. OCR can still misread amounts, so review every receipt before using it for accounting or tax.
Which receipts work poorly?
Crumpled, faded or very thin print, unusual layouts and non-English receipts. Handwritten receipts are not supported. For PDFs only the first 3 pages are read.
