How to use
- Enter visitors and the conversion rate at each stage.
- Edit, add or remove stages.
- Switch to Goal mode to work backwards from target revenue.
Worked example
10,000 visitors × 3% → 300 leads × 25% → 75 appointments × 20% → 15 sales × $1,200 = $18,000.
Supported formats and limits
| Input | Traffic, stage conversion rates, deal value |
|---|---|
| Output | Stage counts, revenue, funnel chart |
| Engine | Stage-by-stage multiplication with explicit rounding down to whole people (goal mode rounds up) |
Limitations
- Real funnels vary month to month; use ranges rather than a single forecast.
Questions
Why are the counts whole numbers?
You cannot have part of a lead. Forecast mode rounds each stage down, so 10,000 visitors at 3% give 300 leads. Goal mode rounds each earlier stage up, so the traffic it suggests still reaches the target when run forward.
How does goal mode work?
Sales needed = revenue target ÷ value per sale, rounded up. Each earlier stage is that count divided by the next conversion rate, rounded up. For $18,000 at $1,200 per sale and rates of 3%, 25% and 20%, you need 15 sales and 10,000 visitors.
