How to use
- Paste the page's HTML source or open a saved .html file (optionally enter its URL to resolve relative links).
- Review each check: pass, warning or problem, with the values found.
- Export the report.
Worked example
The sample bakery page, with two H1 elements, no meta description and 6 of its 7 images without an alt attribute, gets exactly three findings: a warning listing both H1s, a missing-description warning and a problem listing the 6 <img> elements by src.
Supported formats and limits
| Input | HTML source (paste or .html file), Optional page URL and X-Robots-Tag header value |
|---|---|
| Output | Scored checklist, Report (JSON/Markdown) |
| Limits | Up to 5 MB of HTML. Analyses HTML you paste or open. Pages are not fetched (browsers block reading other sites, and this site has no server): copy the page source (Ctrl+U) and paste it. |
| Engine | DOMParser analysis in the browser (no scripts are executed) |
Limitations
- Content added by JavaScript after the page loads is not in the source and is not seen.
- HTTP headers (such as X-Robots-Tag) are not part of the HTML; paste the header value to include it.
- Pixel widths for the title and description are approximations; passing these checks does not guarantee rankings.
Questions
Why paste HTML instead of a URL?
The tool runs in your browser and does not fetch pages from a server. Paste the source (or open a saved file) and, if you like, its URL so relative links resolve. Content added by JavaScript after load is not in the source and is not checked.
What does the score mean?
It is the share of checks that pass, with warnings counted as half. It summarises this page's markup only and does not predict rankings.
