Questions
How does it detect a faulty double click?
Two presses of the same button closer together than the threshold (80 ms by default) are flagged as chatter, which is typical of a worn switch. For example, two click events 12 ms apart after a single press are flagged.
How accurate is the polling-rate figure?
It is an estimate from the timing of pointer events while you move the mouse, including coalesced events where the browser provides them. Browsers may still throttle events, so the figure can read lower than the rate your mouse is set to.
