Questions
Is it safe to convert HEIC photos online?
No. Images are decoded and converted in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.
Is the location removed from the JPG?
Yes. Metadata such as the camera, the date taken and the GPS location is not copied into converted files. The camera's rotation is applied to the pixels, so photos stay upright.
What JPEG quality is used?
82 by default, adjustable from 1 to 100. 75 to 90 suits most photos; lower numbers give smaller files.
