How to convert WebP to JPG
- Choose the WebP images.
- Keep Format on JPEG; change the background color for transparent areas if needed.
- Select Convert to JPEG.
- Download the JPG files, or all of them as a ZIP.
Worked example
In the converter's automated test, a transparent image saved as JPEG is flattened onto the chosen background color. WebP input takes the same path, and the result line notes the background used.
Formats and limits
| Input | WebP |
|---|---|
| Output | JPEG |
| Limits | Up to 50 MB and 50 megapixels per image; 200 images per batch. |

Questions
What happens to transparent areas?
JPEG has no transparency, so they are filled with the background color: white by default, or any color you enter.
Which quality setting should I use?
82 is the default. 75 to 90 suits most photos; lower numbers give smaller files.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Images are decoded and converted in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.
