Questions
How accurate are the conversions?
Factors use exact definitions (for example 1 inch is exactly 2.54 cm) and are computed without binary rounding, so 5 ft 10 in is exactly 177.8 cm. Only the display is rounded, to the precision you choose.
Why are there two kinds of gallon?
The US gallon (about 3.785 L) and the imperial gallon (about 4.546 L) are different units, so both are listed separately. Fuel economy also converts between L/100 km and mpg, which are inverse measures.
Can I convert to feet and inches together?
Yes. Results can be split into compound units such as feet and inches. Temperatures below absolute zero are flagged.
