How to use
- Add each option with its price and size (in g, kg, oz, lb, ml, L, fl oz or items).
- The cheapest per unit is highlighted, with the % difference.
Worked example
500 g for $3.49 ($0.698 per 100 g) vs 1.2 kg for $7.99 ($0.666 per 100 g): the larger pack is 4.6% cheaper per gram.

Limitations
- Weight and volume cannot be compared directly without density.
Questions
Can I compare a product sold by weight with one sold by volume?
No. Grams and millilitres measure different things, and converting between them needs the product's density, so the tool refuses that comparison instead of guessing.
Is the cheapest per unit always the better buy?
Only if you will use it all. The ranking compares price per unit; it does not know about use-by dates, storage space or how much you need.
